Good week so far for the boys, all of us needing, Sheff United and Leciester to finish off our bets, so it was a tense time towards the end of the fixtures. Stu and Grant has the same bet, joining the bet and sharing the winnings threeways with Cj also. There bet was:

There were a few upsets especially Cheltenham, the nine goal thriller, ended with the honours going to Bradford, so that was my tip down the drain!

I also saw the advert for the new football pools whilst watching sky sports news, so i decided to sign up, and did the super 10, and the super 6. My supersix won! which i think is unbelievable considering i had Swansea on it. I put £2 on this and won £136!! Happy.

For tomorrow on the pools, i am still a little confused, the Jackpot is 30k, and i need Everton, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool to win to win the jackpot, but im assuming this will be split between the winners. I’l let you know, as i sent in a query into them.

I also need Cardiff, Rangers, Tottenham and Inter Milan, in different bets.

Well, a good week so far, Grant won a nice £60 treble last night with Valencia, Dinamo Zagreb and Fulham for £220, so now he can put some more money on Saturday!

I have got one bet this week which i am looking forward to:
Tottenham, Arsenal -1, Cardiff, Rangers, Leicester = £840 i have high hopes for this.

I also used a free £10 bet on Paddy Power that they sent me, with the promotional code of [Balls] Deposit £10, get £10 free straight away once your bet is placed. I used the £10 on

Inter Milan, Tottenham, Ac Milan, Arsenal -1, Rangers, Man City.. then i took my free bet on something spectacular! Liverpool, Tottenham, Man city all -2 and Arsenal -1 = £2400.

Conway would also like to point out he has a 19-fold for £8,000 which he is confident about haha.

I also want to show you, how dirty the Brazilian league is! There was two more bookings on each side in the Coritiba match, and Sao Paolo and Corinthians had one sent off each too!!

Not much to tell you about really! N.County let Martin down for £1400, and none of us won our big bets. We all won our cover bets though. Grant had a tenner on Defoe to score first @ 5/1 , Martin and Stuart both had Lyon, but martin had Tottenham too.

Tonight i think is a huge turning point in the Premiership. Tottenham prove that their 2:1 win over Liverpool wasn’t just a one off good display with the drubbing at Hull 5:1. And @ EVS were a great price. Manchester United prove that their poor display at Birmingham wasn’t a one off, when they lost to Burnley 1:0.

Martin said to Stu last night that he thought this year would be the start of the change, and this is what he reckons the league will finish.

Martin was the only one of the trio tonight who didn’t win, Stu won £60 and Grant won £103 on Chelsea, Leeds, Olympiakos and Arsenal. Wigan let Martin down on his fourfold, but has two bets tomorrow, including one that needs Newcastle, Notts County and Tottenham for £1400.

An incredibly 11-fold has been cashed in by our very own Grant, a daring eleven fold some might say, staking a £5′er on! It was touch and go through out the week, and especially monday night, when Besiktas left it very very late and waited till the 82nd minute to score, then three minutes later finished off with a freekick from Tello. Grant had just gone for a swim, partially disgruntled as he thought the Turkish team had let him down. Good pickings! Even Barca gave us a scare last night when they went 1:0 down to Athletico Madrid! 2:1 Thanks.

Well, Man Utd scrape a 1:0 victory over Birmingham, who showed us what a championship team can do, but tbf, without Ronaldo, they did look very very dull, and just didn’t have that spark that keeps grinding and grinding. My question is, why did owen miss that chance:S tut tut son.

I had one bet today win, and liverpool let me down on the big four!

The Trio Scoop On Arsenal!!

Stu wins £200, Grant £200 and i take home £285 thanks to Arsenal. The late game certainly was causing some nerves before the kick off, as i believe and almost still do, that Everton are a great side.

Firstly, i today wasn’t looking to good, when Cardiff drew with Blackpool, that was annoying, but with the realisation, that my £23 treble of Man City, Arsenal and West Brom could be coming home with the win from Arsenal needed. West Brom i understand was incredibly lucky, as they didnt have a shot on target, i was thinking the same but it was an own goal, so i’ll take what comes:) Then i realised that my fivefold i placed a while back, was also resting on one team, Man City, Fulham, Chelsea, West Ham and i need Manchester United!! against Birmingham for £504. I will definately be dissappointed if this goes wrong. I also stuck £40 on the big four, which obviously needs Liverpool and Man utd tomorrow.

Because i had the £284 on http://www.williamhill.com i took 250 off and had a £20 double on Man utd -1, Liverpool -1 and Barcelona, comes in for £222.22 made me happy:) Could be a good week if all goes right. had £100 worth of bets, today, made £285 so far, not too bad. Hopefully tomorrow brings more fun.

Grant needs Besiktas and Barca to complete the Football Trio’s highest accumulator win of an 11-fold!!

First Day of the Premier League!!

Well well well, what a great day. 6/8 away wins!, Arsenal dominate Everton in a 6-1 victory, Stoke go to third in the table after beating Burnley [first time in 4 games] 2:0. So today was a great day for the trio. At the start of the afternoon, when me and stu were watching gillete soccer saturday, we thought it was gonna be such a romp with Cardiff 1up and shrewsbury 1up. Cardiff, Leeds and Notts county where my tip, the treble giving you 8′s. However Cardiff had an off day, and my twenty quid double went down the drain. Well what about Sunderland? never thought i would say it, but they looked a good team, with some great new signings including debut goal scorer Bent. Chelsea gave me a shock straight away when they nearly drew until Drogba’s Cross/shot went in. I was a happy man again. Fulham back off to a great start also.

The Championship – 6/9 Draws!

Well, what do you know, that is why you don’t bet on the championship on the first season, haha. 6/9 were a draw. One of them was too obvious, the Cardiff game, then Reading once again do not score at home when they had about 20 chances, including one where the centreback missed a pretty much open goal. I really do wish Reading would stop being so crap. And i wish Preston didn’t get penalties in the last minute. If i had Bristol i would be furious.

First Week Of The Championship

Right, so this is a big week in the Championship, but personally I don’t like to bet on the first weeks of the season, it is very open to shifts and changes, and the transfer markets are still open so things could change, if your going to do a bet, make sure it is on the day and you know all the facts about the game. I personally won’t be betting on this week, i will be the premiership though. So you can look forward to some winners there:)

EDIT- After seeing the beautiful odds i can get this week, i have actually decided to have a few bets:) After seeing Ipswich in some fine pre season form, i cant help but think they will dominate coventry. Even though Forest have made some nice signings this transfer window, i don’t think they will be good enough for Reading, and i just can’t see Scunthorpe being good enough for Cardiff either.

I had two Doubles today, two on the championship and a european bet. I had Spartak Moscow and Bayern, Spartak let me down. However i had a Leicester / Man City double, which i won £37, so im around even for the week. I also had a West Brom, Middlesborough double but Middleborough let me down.
